Teacher Qualification
Educator in preschool education can be a person who is a graduate of public or accredited private Universities for teaching.
Teachers in basic education and high school can be a person who is a graduate of public or accredited private Universities for teaching.
Arts teacher can be a person who is a graduate of the Academy of Arts. Physical education teacher can be a person who is a graduate of the Academy of Sports.
Teacher of students with special needs can be a person who is a graduate of Universities for teaching and has performed a specialization in this field. Subject to the qualification process are also vocational education teachers. Teachers qualifie also during their career. They go through three levels of continuous qualification, specifically after 5, 10 and 20 years of work service.
Continuous qualification is held in two stages:
Stage One: The teacher's professional portfolio, which contains CV, and documents and certificates earned during the period in question. The portfolio is assessed by a committee established at the RED / EO's where the teacher works.
Stage Two: Testing the teachers
At this stage pass the teachers who have submitted portfolio and are evaluated over a minimum number of points. Teachers are subject to examination on the basis of a test.
The final assessment is based on the accumulated credit and the test results.
Through this system, the salary of teachers is differentiated according to professional merit.
A similar system is being prepared for school administrators.
